Technical Support
Part time positions available in our Technical Support department at our San Francisco, CA office.
Applicants must be knowledgeable in UNIX server administration, DNS interface, networking, PPP, TCP/IP protocols and Internet Explorer version 3,4 & 5 in Windows 95 and 98 environments. Experience in the Internet Service Provider field helpful. Additional experience with FTP, FrontPage 98 & 2000, Netscape Navigator & Communicator, Windows NT & 2000, Macintosh OS7 & 8 a plus, but not required.
Web Designer
The team player we are seeking will have a minimum of two years of experience. Interviews will be held with applicants whose online portfolios demonstrate strong design skills, along with the following:
- Advanced HTML layout skills with an emphasis on cross-browser compatability and cascading style sheets
- Advanced user interface design and file size optimization
- Javascript-based interface enhancements
- Quality assurance and compatibility testing
- Knowledge of Web graphic design and HTML coding software (e.g. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Macromedia Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Microsoft Frontpage)
- Flash and/or Shockwave experience a plus
- Perl and CGI programming experience a plus
- Miva Merchant, SoftCart and other E-commerce software experience a plus
Customer Service / Sales Executive
The team player we are seeking will assist in the maintenance and growth of current client relationships as well as the development of new business opportunities. They must provide exceptional customer service that beats our competitors. Interviews will be held with applicants whose resumés demonstrate strong sales and customer service skills, along with the following:
- Heavy prospecting skills by cold calling on potential clients
- Experience answering inbound calls to assist existing and potential clients
- Basic understanding of a clients' web presence in order to provide customer support and technical assistance including setting up new accounts for DSL, Telcom, hosting and other types of services
- Maintaining and updating client and lead database using ACT and other software
- Basic understanding of HTML programming and e-mail protocal a plus
